Commissions
Works in this section were commissioned—created for an event or specific intention. These projects have involved corporate entities—I have worked as a designer for municipal government, publishing and for tech companies. Some of the projects have been for personal occasions such as birthday parties, anniversaries and wedding announcements.
I can meet with you and discuss the project and give an estimate, not only for the design work but also for production costs and turnaround times. These can be very collaborative.
Typesetting fees with discounts on large order items for existing designs available.
Examples of Previous Commissions
Daruma
New Year greeting and product announcement for Daruma Financial. The process was collaborative and involved their corporate brand and messaging. Two panels were cut out featuring original art works with inserts—ginkgo and bodhi leaf. 1000 cards were shipped within a month of order confirmation.
Headmistress
The headmistress for a private school on the Peninsula wanted stationery for her correspondence. This graphic was based on her office door in a building that had been shipped brick-by-brick by the C&H sugar heirs.
Wedding Announcement and Invitation
Designed as a puzzle to go out in three mailings with increasingly important information for a surprise wedding announcement and reception invitation.
